Lutosa’s response to the health crisis

Since the onset of the health crisis more than a year ago, we have been very resourceful in meeting our customers’ needs while also guaranteeing the safety of our employees.

To make up for the shutdown of trade fairs and exhibitions where we used to meet our customers and introduce our delicious products, we have digitalised our booth. We created our virtual stand bearing the colours of our new branding, thereby combining all the ingredients to showcase our products virtually. All that was missing was the tasting… 😉

To support our customers in the restaurant and catering sector as they are forced to make deliveries and takeaways, we revealed our takeaway & home delivery range. These products are perfectly geared to this type of catering and stay hot for longer without losing their crunchiness… A treat at home!

Locally, we immediately showed our support to the restaurants located in the vicinity of our production sites in Leuze and Waregem by offering them a case of X-tra Crispy products. An easy and friendly reminder that our products and our help are there for them.

Internally, we stepped up our efforts to increase safety in our factories. The use of a mask was made compulsory in both production sites long before it was made mandatory in Belgium. The availability of hydroalcoholic gel – already present in normal times as part of the hygiene policy for a food company – has been greatly increased. Not to mention the numerous distancing measures taken at all levels to reduce risks.

And to make up for the convivial moments that we could no longer share together, we held our annual New Year’s reception in a dematerialized fashion. This is usually the highlight of the year when everybody can get together and celebrate. This year, we produced several videos with one goal in mind: putting a smile on our colleagues’ faces.

While we wait and look forward to better days, we continue to do our very best to satisfy our customers and to offer our employees a safe working environment.
