The original beef steak with fries

Ingredients

  • 600g Lutosa’s prefried fries 18-18 ultra-crunchy skin on
  • 4 beef steak (between 150-200g/p)
  • 400g broccoli

 

For the pepper sauce :

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 red onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cups whipping/heavy cream

Preparation

  1. Cook the steak in a pan
  2. Cook the broccoli in the hot water
  3. Cook the ultra-crunchy 18-18 fries during 7mns at 175°C

 

For the pepper sauce :

  1. Melt the butter in a frying pan then add the onion and saute until soft.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds before adding the pepper and herbs.
  3. Gently toast the pepper until fragrant then pour in the cream.
  4. Season with lemon juice and salt and allow to simmer gently for 10-15 minutes until the sauce has reduced and thickened to your preference.
  5. Put all the ingredients on a plate and serve it.
